Eloise’s first production at The Guild Theatre was Elizabeth Coleman’s It’s My Party and I’ll Die If I Want To back in 2016. She says she instantly found The Guild to be welcoming and fun. One of her favourite memories of the theatre is closing night of her first show where the cast shared a tight group hug and she felt like she’d become part of a family. It’s still her favourite show, as it was a wonderful introduction to theatre and the ‘incredible people at the Guild.’
Since then, Eloise has been a member of both cast and crew. She has appeared in shows including The Little Foxes, I Hate Hamlet, and Silent Night, Lonely Night. She has also operated the sound and lights for two productions; The Rose Tattoo and Boeing Boeing. Eloise also participated in the Guild Theatre’s Director Development Programme, an internal initiative designed to help members become first time directors. She directed her first short scene for the Christmas members’ night.
Aside from acting at the Guild, Eloise holds a Bachelor’s of Forensic Science from UTS and maintains a full-time job in an office.
‘The Guild is a beautiful place filled with welcoming people. It is one of the few places I feel most comfortable, and will always find my way back to. I have made friends for life at the Guild, and I consider it to be a home away from home.’ – Eloise Tanti
