Jim brings a life time of acting experience to The Guild. His favourite role of all time is Tevye in Fiddler On The Roof. In addition to the many roles he has performed, Jim has directed pantomimes, written and directed review skits, hosted community comedy nights and school concerts, acted in short films for HSC students as part of their creative arts course, and, of course, assisted productions both front of house and backstage.
He studied singing and drama in both Sydney and London and has performed in almost all forms of entertainment including being ZOOM Santa to numerous children, who would have been deprived of this childhood experience over the past two years because of the pandemic. He is also a published author. His book 57 Days is available through Amazon.com.
‘Community theatre is a great asset to our society, it affords those who may not be able to attend professional theatre, due to cost or distance, the opportunity to experience the magic of live performance. This is doubly true for children. Movies are terrific…but, seeing someone performing on stage is the ultimate…’On With The Motley’…’ – Jim Burns
