This is Jordan’s fifth time performing for The Guild Theatre. The first time was as the title role in Tom Jones
in 2009 under the direction of Alan Mundy. Since then he has performed alongside his mother, Glenda in
Play On!, his father, Greg in Out of Order another Ray Cooney play, and the three of them appeared together in the Australian premiere of Looped. From there he went on to perform in productions with theatre companies including Under the Balcony and The Touch of Silk at the Henry Lawson Theatre and the Canterbury Theatre Guild’s 2014 production of A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum.
Most of his childhood had been spent attending rehearsals and performances with his parents, so it was
only a matter of time before he would join them, with special thanks to Arthur Briggs, the Director and
Lord High Executioner in a production of The Mikado, Jordan had his first walk on role, albeit uncredited.
Thanks to his parents influence Jordan’s theatre experience started early and while still at school,
performed in a production of The Pirates of Pinzance. This was followed by yet another production of Pirates
the following year as his parents seemed to have an obsession with the show (they only played in 4 separate productions respectively).
After Pirates, Jordan went on to be involved in several productions backstage including The Boyfriend, Les Miserables, and West Side Story. After that Jordan took a break from theatre to study engineering but later
returned for the Guild’s production of Tom Jones, a role that would reignite a keen interest in theatre and
is perhaps his favourite role alongside Casanova in Under The Balcony. A one act comedy by Bruce Kane
adapted from Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.
