Pauline joined The Guild Theatre in 1972, three years after arriving in Australia, because its productions appeared to her to be of a similar standard to that of Birmingham Repertory Theatre, whose performances she had attended for many years. During her time with The Guild, Pauline has enjoyed many roles and also participated as lighting and sound operator, prompt, stage manager, set designer and as a committee member.
Outside of the theatre, Pauline has worked in the retail business, run her own antique shop, worked in an illegal casino, been a whale rescuer, and run whale watches for ten years before attending university and studying in Wollongong, Miami and Chicago, always returning to her true home, The Guild Theatre.
‘Over the years I have shared many laughs, tears and heart-stopping moments with fellow members, drawing us together as a mutually caring and supportive community.’ – Pauline Randall
